I can’t stand Tobey Macquire. I don’t think he can act overly well, maybe that’s just me. Maybe I just think he’s a pimple on the ass of society, I dunno. I didn’t like him In Spiderman, in any of the series.

spiderman 4 and spiderman 5

I think when he was bitching and complaining about his back, SONY should have replaced him with Jake Gyllenhaal like they were pondering. Now word on the street is that Mrs Macquire has been signed for Spiderman 4 and 5, which are expected to be shot back to back. James Vanderbilt (Zodiac/Rundown) turned in a script that SONY wet it’s panties over, so it’s all happening now. Raimi is back at the helm as well, as is Mary Jane Cuntface, whoops.. sorry… I hate Kirsten Dunst as well. Raimi is great though. Well, good at least. Let me summarize for the slow kids in the back that don’t like to read talky talky

Fuck it, I guess I’ll just have to wait for the Venom movie to take place. Hopefully they leave Topher Grace in place, even though he kind of died at the end of Spidey 3. Fuck it, bring him back. They’re letting retard put the Spidey suit back on, it’s not like Topher can do worse. Let Todd McFarlane write some magic damn it, don’t leave it up to some two bit hack.

So the other day I was surfing around and I came across this 5 part documentary that I thought was cool in a geeky way. Do you remember the 1984 movie, The Karate Kid? Some of you weren’t even born by then, I know… but shit man, this is internets, it’s out there if you want it.

It was the story of teen boy Daniel LaRusso, who had traveled from New Jersey to California after the death of his father. A fresh start but at the school he was attending, he was getting bullied by these assholes, the Cobra Kai. All because he liked this girl Ali, and Ali’s ex boyfriend was a martial arts bully.

So Daniel befriends Mr Miyagi who just happens to be a sensei and Miyagi teaches Daniel the ways of the crane, and his own variation of Karate.

The movie is a basic under-dog type of movie, but if you saw it when you were younger, odds are… you liked it. We all did.

Anyway… this guy Sean Cunningham is a HUGE Karate Kid fan, so he travels the world to seek out the film locations, the stars, the people that were inspired as he was. He had never taken any Karate before this, although he wanted to. So with the help of other fans, he follows in Danielson’s footsteps. From training, to competing and of course, he tapes it and slaps it on You Tube. There are 5 parts, all of which you’ll find below.

Thanks Sean, Mr Miyagi would be proud!

I am a big fan of Kevin Smith, the guy is seriously one of my idols.  I was just reading in his blog, he watched the Dark Knight and although he can’t really review it because of embargo from Warner Brothers, check this quote from him.

“Without giving anything away, this is an epic film (and trust me: based on the sheer size and scope of the visuals and storytelling, that’s not an overstatement). It’s the “Godfather II” of comic book films and three times more earnest than “Batman Begins” (and fuck, was that an earnest film). Easily the most adult comic book film ever made. Heath Ledger didn’t so much give a performance as he disappeared completely into the role; I know I’m not the first to suggest this, but he’ll likely get at least an Oscar nod (if not the win) for Best Supporting Actor. Fucking flick’s nearly three hours long and only leaves you wanting more (in a great way). I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed by it. Nolan and crew have created something close to a masterpiece.”

Unreal. I was excited before but now, even more so.

Jebus, like it gets better? These guys know movies. they see a LOT of movies. I am so freaking pumped to see this now, it’s stupid.
