Eltardo Tip: BUY EASYNEWS

There is this pay site online I have been a member of for give or take, eight years. Something like 5 years straight though.. it’s called Easynews.

What is Easynews you ask? It’s a site that costs $9.95 per month and for that ten bux, you get access to 20 gigs of downloads or 30 days, whichever comes first. They offer other packages as well for those that want more then 20 gigs of downloads.

So what’s so great about Easynews? Well.. imagine a place you can go to at any given time and type in a movie title, or cd title, maybe a model you like… almost anything and booya, there it is.

I have downloaded more than 30,000 mp3’s off Easynews in the past and pretty much 99% of my movies I watch, I get from Easynews. These are DVD rips and often, on Easynews before the movie is in the stores and on occasion, even before in the theatres. I don’t know how, if it’s some spy at the movie company that rips it for a buddy and it finds it’s way online… not a fucking clue. All i know is that it works, and that’s all I care about

Here’s an example, last night my girlfriend and I watched the new James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. It was the best Bond movie yet, easily. Cost of admission? 5 minutes downloading from Easynews, 3 minutes to transfer to thumb drive, walk to living room… plug thumb drive into Mac Mini that powers our Samsung Plasma and booya motherfuckers, pop some popcorn.

It’s not that we’re too cheap to go to the movies… but you and I both know there are always times you’re at home and shit, if you can save a buck, why not save a buck?

It’s a newsgroup service, but what it does.. it stores 30+ days of posts.  On newsgroup servers you usually need to download all the pieces of a movie etc and if you miss *ONE* part, you’re fucked. With Easynews, because they store 30+ days on each server, they don’t miss pieces.

They also automatically put the pieces together so at the end of it all, all you need to do is download the .avi file or .wmv file for movies, or .mp3 for music. Mouse sex

So I have been needing a new mouse for some time. The one I had is wireless and well, it didn’t seem as accurate as I’d have liked. I’m not a gamer so it’s not that my frag count was down, I work a lot in Photoshop etc and being accurate to the pixel is important.

A friend told me recently about a mouse he picked up. He said it was the most accurate mouse he’d ever used. It was basically mouse sex. I needed a new mouse, like I said… so I figured fuck it, I’ll check it out.

The Logitech G9 is amazing. 3200 dpi sensitivity. Wireless mice send back around 100 reports per second to your computer, that in turn gives you your accuracy, where the pointer should be, what you’re doing with your mouse etc.

The Logitech G9… 1000 reports per second. It’s corded but meh, not a big issue. It looks strange and I remember thinking, that’s an ugly fucking mouse. I figured it’d be crazy wide and well, full of suck. I was wrong, this thing is crazy. Amazing, I lurve it. The perfect addition to any geek’s desk. It is the best gaming mouse you can buy as well, so if you’re a gamer.. score.

Stupid side note… see those red LED lights? you can change the colour of those in the software so they’re blue, red, whatever colour you want. haha. Mine are blue. The lights show the sensitivity level you have your mouse set at, how fast or slow it’s running, how many dpi it’s set at. (dpi = dots per inch) The more lights, the higher the setting, the more accurate yo shit is.

Unwrapping Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe

Today was a good day for me. I finally got my hands on a game I have been waiting for for a long time. Mortal Kombat versus DC Universe. I pre-ordered the Kollector’s Edition, costs $10 more and is it worth it? FUCK YES.

I did some photos/scans of what is included in the Kollector’s Edition. The cover was painted by Alex Ross. I posted a video about this painting earlier, if you missed it, it’s cool as hell….. check it here.

Inside the box, three additions.. the game disc, a comic explaining why/how the DC Universe came to battle the MK crew and then a signed Alex Ross print, albeit small. (as seen at top of post)

Longest tongue in the world

Is this the longest tongue in the world? No. not even remotely close but can you imagine how popular this girl is with guys and girls?

I think next Christmas I’ll get my girlfriend one of these. Not a long tongue… no, a reasonably attractive female with a long tongue.

I hate this guy

Soon my ass is happy

I sit at my desk a great deal. I am on my computer probably 60-70% of any given day at least, often more and one of the things I have noticed is that my chair sucks. I replace my chair often and it’s usually around $200 or so. Never fails though, I have to replace it over and over… it fucking blows.

I heard about this chair called the Aeron. It’s made by Herman Miller and sadly, it’s expensive. Like, $750-$1400 range. Yes, for a chair. It’s not a normal chair though, it’s a fucking super chair. Seriously, if there were chair super heroes, this fucker would be superman.

To test the chair, they drop a 200 pound weight 20,000 times in each chair to make sure it meets their tests. They test the chair before they do this test and take measurements… then after the test. The measurements match or the chair is destroyed. Cool shit. So, I got tired of shelling out $200 every 1-2 years for a chair and said fuck it, time to treat my ass to some comfort. Yes, it was expensive but if you sit at your desk all the time, shouldn’t you at least be comfortable? Yup

It’s not here yet, I’ll post a review when it arrives. meh, it’s always something right?
