Penguins take game three!

The Pittsburgh Penguins won game three on Wednesday night, taking it to the Detroit Red Wings, 3-2 final score. The Pens were led by captain Sydney Crosby who finally looked like the skilled player he’s credited as being. Even Malkin stepped it up a notch, but I think he still has a bit to go before Evgeni is 100%. He still looks a little off, ever since that crazy body check against him in the Philly series, courtesy of Richards.

The series is now 2-1 for Detroit, with game four going Friday night from the Melon Arena in Pittsburgh. If the Pens can take that game as well, the series will be tied. I predicted a 7 game series here, so who knows… I might not be crazy after all. The Wings are a serious machine though so for the Pens to pull off the upset over the more experienced and skilled team, they’re going to need Malkin and Malone stepping up their game.
